If you think of a water main carrying your domestic water supply into your property it sounds pretty big, and significant. So, when you then think about a water main replacement it probably conjures up images of disruption, of deep excavations and disturbance, and mud – lots of it.

It may be that you have no choice, that because of problems with your water supply, you need your water main replacing. Or it might be a case of wait and see – you know your supply pipe is old and unreliable, but the potential disruption seems too big a price to pay to replace it.

How inconvenient is a water main replacement; how much trouble can it cause you?

Trenchless Technology to the Rescue

Living with the consequences of water main replacement work doesn’t have to be painful. With state-of-the-art trenchless technology, we can undertake your work while minimising disruption to your property, and your day- to-day life.

We can complete replacement pipe work without excavating, and saving on manpower, equipment costs and time – savings we pass on to our customers.

Our work involves a technique known as impact moling. This is where we bore underground holes with pneumatic technology. We drill these holes at strategic points, so that when the time comes, we can pull your new pipework into place through them.

Compared to traditional trench excavation, impact moling causes far less ground disturbance, and it’s quick. You won’t have to worry about any surface obstacles or interruption to services. We can install pipework in straight or curved lines, depending on your requirements.

When we’ve finished, your water main will be made of durable medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) – so you won’t need to worry about things like water contamination or deteriorating materials.

A water main replacement doesn’t need to be inconvenient, because we can accomplish our work with minimum excavations, taking less time, and with much less to clear up afterwards.
